~ Part I:  HEROES ~

Einstein Many military heroes studied by the artist are unknown American soldiers from the War Between the States (Civil War) from both sides - North and South.  There are also French and British soldiers of the Napoleonic era.  But heroes can also be civilian, and Dr. Baret has also represented Einstein (left) in one of his creative moments.

Body, gestures and facial expressions of the statues show the strong commitment of these Heroes to their beliefs.  Indeed, this is the genius of the sculptor - the very emotions of the subjects are brought out in a way that gives some sense of what they are thinking and what motivates them to do what they do.
